“We offer loose diamonds up to 10 carats and ready-to-wear jewellery. This is our seventh year at this show. It provides an excellent platform for us to show our new products and services to existing customers and also to meet new customers to explore new business opportunities. This is an international show where we have met with visitors from all over the world. The retail market performed better last December. We see positive momentum at this show as buyers are more confident to place orders now. So far, buyers from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand have placed orders for our loose diamonds. For finished jewellery, we have received orders from many buyers especially those from Asia and the Middle East. We are cautiously optimistic about this year’s business.”
Vishal P. Mehta, Director, Dimexon (Hong Kong) Limited, Hong Kong (Booths: 3CON-004, 3CON-029)
“In business for 40 years, our company offers fancy coloured diamonds and jewellery as well as matching pairs, targeting at the high-end market. Currently, we sell 70 per cent of our products to the Chinese mainland, 20 per cent to Asia and the remaining 10 per cent to other places in the world. This is our sixth year at this show. Many existing clients have visited our booth. We have also made new connections with buyers from Asia especially those from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. In fact, the demand for fancy coloured diamonds is growing rapidly in the mainland market. Fancy coloured diamonds like pink ones and large-sized yellow ones have become an investment tool as their value is increasing. So far, we have taken orders from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. We expect more orders to come after this show.”
Rom Amir, Managing Director, Asteria Diamonds (HK) Ltd, Hong Kong (Booth: GH-G05)
“Our company owns the distributorship of ‘Bonds of Union’ for the Asian market. ‘Bonds of Union’ is a new jewellery brand from the UK that has a strong appeal to consumers due to its high quality and unique designs. We are participating in this show for the first time to increase our brand exposure and market our brand to retailers and distributors. This show is the right platform for us to achieve these goals because many industry players come to this show to sell or buy jewellery products. Buyers are particularly interested in our enchanting diamond collection that glows in the dark as well as our packaging and displays. So far, we’ve talked to buyers from Asia, Australia and the US. We are confident that we’ll be able to identify potential suitable retailers and distributors at this fair.”
Shima Azman, Managing Director, Bonds of Union, Malaysia (Booth: ED-E26)

“Our company is a jewellery manufacturer and retailer, with 250 jewellery shops in Russia. Seventy per cent of our jewellery items are imported mainly from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong while the remainder is produced by our factory. In view of increasing demand for jewellery in Russia, we plan to increase the number of outlets to 400 by 2015. A total of seven people from our company including myself are attending this show to see the latest machinery and tools available for jewellery production and to look for new suppliers of diamond and gold jewellery. This is our fifth year visiting this show. Most of our existing suppliers come from this show. As every supplier has its own designs, we can bring more varieties to our shops.”
Josef Adar, Moscow Jewellery Factory, Chief of Production, Russia
“Our group is an importer and wholesaler of fine jewellery, supplying jewellery shops and department stores from all over the world. We just started to offer fashion jewellery which creates a feel of fine jewellery, yet it is stylish and more affordable. We have been attending this show in the past five years. We have our own designs and brands and our jewellery products are produced by top jewellery manufacturers. We’ve come to this show to see what’s new in the industry especially design ideas, trends, technology, techniques and processes. This show also serves as a great platform for us to see how jewellery manufacturers are making use of different materials in their products.”
Ramona Genao, Executive Vice President, Richline Group, the US
