Hong Kong International Jewellery Show
Gala Night to Remember
|
 |
Fred Lam, Executive Director of HKTDC, with the VIPs and guests toasted for the success of the fair. |
 |
The evening began with the Cocktail Reception followed by a Gala Dinner. The theme, 'Jewels Extravaganza' was brilliantly illustrated by parades of jewellery, with glittering offerings created by exhibitors. |
Jewellery Parades Captivate Buyers |
|
Two parades of jewellery yesterday, both applauded by buyers. In the World of Glamour, which showcases the design excellence of Hong Kong manufacturers, as well as their craftsmanship, a mini parade demonstrated that Hong Kong's reputation is well earned. |
|
The Japan Jewellery Parade & Cocktail in the Peacock Room provided an opportunity for buyers to see some wonderful pieces of jewellery as well as enjoy the hospitality for which the Japanese are known. |
|
|
The Hon Emily LAU Wai-hing, JP, Legislative Council member of the HKSAR government visited the fairground. |
A seminar with the topic of 'The Chinese mainland’s Diamond Jewellery Online Market Trend and its O2O (Online to Offline) Business Model’ attracted the interest of the fair's visitors and participants. |

 |
Fair visitors had a perfect glass of champagne to share the special moment of gorgeous parade. |
The Social Whirl at the Hall of Time Parade |
 |
Socialising is one of the most pleasant aspects of doing business and the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is the perfect environment for catching up with industry peers. Yesterday there was a Networking Reception for the Hall of Time Parade. |
|
It was a fruitful start to the day for international journalists at the media breakfast event. Fair organiser, exhibitors, industry representatives and journalists exchanged thoughts on the latest development of the jewellery industries. |
Hall of Fame
 |
Branded jewellery often means sophisticated designs, originality and innovation, excellent craftsmanship and top-notch quality. Such characteristics make the gleaming pieces hugely sought after by consumers and popular among industry buyers for bringing retail success. |
In the Hall of Fame, a glittering gem at the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, global buyers discover the latest jewellery collections from renowned Hong Kong and international brands. While displaying exceptional creations, the participating brands also utilise this world-famous platform to reinforce their brand images and core values. |
|
World of Glamour
 |
World of Glamour is prominently located and dedicated to Hong Kong-based designers and manufacturers in custom-designed booths. |
Antique & Vintage Jewellery Galleria
 |
Antique & Vintage Jewellery Galleria is ideal to present period pieces which are so much in demand now. |
“Fook Wing Tong was established in 2009 to promote the collection and trading of classic jadeite. We have participated in this jewellery show for several years to promote our brand. At this year’s show, we present our famous heritage jadeite collections and contemporary jade jewellery in a double-deck premium booth at the Hall of Extraordinary which features English-style decor. We like this idea because the upper deck of the booth offers privacy for serious business negotiations, while the lower deck provides a perfect showcase for our jadeite collections. At this show, our heritage jadeite collections characterised by fine craftsmanship appeal to collectors and jewellery retailers due to high investment value.”
Stephen Chow, Chairman, Fook Wing Tong Jade & Treasure Limited, Hong Kong |
“H & F has more than 30 years of experience in providing OEM/ODM services to jewellery wholesalers and retailers. We are a long-term supporter of the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. At this year’s show, we focus on showcasing our resin jewellery collections as well as earrings and pendants decorated with floating crystals. Buyers have made a lot of enquiries about these products because they are looking for new products and new designs. So far, buyers from the Chinese mainland, Eastern Europe, Hong Kong and the US have placed orders for our resin jewellery and floating-crystal jewellery. We are satisfied with the business results.”
Tony Lam, Director, H & F International Jewellery Co., Ltd, Hong Kong

“Established in 1989, our company has become one of the leaders in the Polish jewellery market. Our wholesale business covers gold jewellery, gold jewellery with diamonds and silver jewellery. Due to the financial crisis in 2009, we have increased purchase of silver jewellery. This is my eighth-time visit to the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. I am looking for silver jewellery in Hong Kong because I can find cheaper prices and good designs here. The Hong Kong fair provides a one-stop shop for me to source a great variety of silver jewellery. I have met with both existing business partners and new suppliers. So far, I have found five new suppliers with whom we can work, and I have placed orders with 10 new and existing suppliers.”
Dariusz Godziebiewski, General Manager and Owner, Szuchman Gold International, Poland |
“In business for 20 years, Kameya is one of the biggest jewellery wholesalers in Russia. Last year, we entered the retail business by opening our first jewellery shop in a major shopping district in Moscow. We plan to open 17 new shops this year. As we have our own designs which are very sophisticated, we are eager to look for OEM partners from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. Apart from finding new suppliers, the show also provides an excellent opportunity for us to discuss new sketches with our existing suppliers and to see the latest product and technology trends. We have found interesting products here such as silver products with unique designs from a Spanish supplier. We’ll meet more suppliers in the next few days and place orders after the show.”
Laura Panova, New Product Development Manager, Kameya Jewelry Company, Russia

It has a strong global appeal attracting buyers from different parts of the world. We take pride in our stringent quality control system that ensures easy and efficient re-ordering by customers. The diamond market is doing very well. We have witnessed strong demand especially from Chinese customers. This year, we have arranged more than 40 staff to serve clients at our booth. Our pearls, also including south sea black pearls and white pearls, are sophisticated with supreme quality that renowned worldwide. Considering Hong Kong as a hub of jewellery trade, we exhibit here and explore new markets for Akoya pearl. Aiming at customers come from new markets, such as China, ASEAN countries and Middle East. We expect our export amount will be double in the next five years. "

“Intercolor USA specialises in fine quality gemstones such as sapphire, ruby, emerald and tanzanite. We like to exhibit in Hong Kong as we can always find some new customers through our presence here. We also participate in trade fairs back in USA but they draw mostly buyers in the American continent. This Hong Kong fair is a much more international event as you get buyers from also everywhere in the world. We have seen many buyers from Chinese mainland, Taiwan, India, Singapore and the Middle East. The traffic has been good for the exhibition this year. Among our gemstones, sapphire continues to attract the strongest interest.”

“We produce unique and original jewellery items for discerning customers worldwide. At present, our company operates seven retail outlets under the name of Lin Shiao Tung in Taiwan. We have seen increasing demand from international customers including those from Hong Kong, Chinese mainland, Singapore, USA and Australia. I am visiting the Hong Kong fair to expand sourcing to facilitate our expansion into Hong Kong and Chinese mainland. The focus has been on colour stones such as emerald and opal to broaden assortments for the launch of new jewellery collections. I’ve identified more than 10 potential suppliers from Belgium, Sri Lanka and Japan who provide good quality colour stones at competitive prices.”
Candy Wang, Brand Director, Remarkable Originality Inc., Taiwan

“We are operating a jewellery retail chain with 10 shops in Colombia. This is my first visit to the Hong Kong fair and I am very impressed with the organisation. The fair is so big in scale with a wide range of stones available. I have found some beautiful stones such as sapphires and zircons from six Hong Kong exhibitors. The quality is really good. We will discuss further the price details before finalising the orders. Our company now sources stones mainly from countries in South America. Hong Kong will serve as a new sourcing platform for us.”
John Alfredo Restrepo, Manager, Dali Joyeria Relojeria, Colombia
