“We developed G-link, a silver jewellery brand with unique designs four years ago. South East Asia and the Chinese mainland are our major markets. We see this show as the perfect platform to promote our brand. We have met quality buyers in these few days, especially those from Eastern Europe and received orders onsite. In addition, an Indian buyer, who is going to open 300 shops in India, is very interested in distributing our brand there.”
Gigi Cheng, Creative Director, G-Link Jewelry Design Limited, Hong Kong (Booth: 3B-F37)
“Our group specializes in manufacturing and marketing GIA-certified loose diamonds and finished jewellery. We have participated in this show for many years because this show serves as an effective marketing platform for us to get new clients in this region. Now, we are focusing on the mainland market. We’ve met with a lot of clients from the Chinese mainland and other Asian countries and regions such as Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand and also received orders at this show. We are very happy with the business results. This is the best Hong Kong International Jewellery Show we’ve ever attended.”
Nirav Virani, Director (India Division), Hini Star Limited, Hong Kong (Booth: 3G-A22)
“As the largest jewellery manufacturer in Peru, our company has 26 years of experience in producing14k, 18k or 22k gold or silver jewellery items covering bracelets, chains, earrings, bangles and rings. Our major markets include Europe, North America and South America. We visited this show in the past two years, but this year we show our products here for the first time. We are happy to see that most of our existing customers have come to this show to look at our new collections. We are keen to expand into the Chinese mainland market, so we are looking for distributors. We have already made some new contacts mainly from the Chinese mainland and hope to meet more potential distributors at this show.”
Julio Pérez Alván, Director, ARIN S.A., Peru (Booth: 5C-H11)
“We have more than 40 years’ experience in producing hand-made and exclusive fine jewellery set with diamonds, gemstones or jade. We have exhibited at this show since 2007, but this is the first year that we move our booth from the Hall of Jade Jewellery to the Hall of Extraordinary which is the best place to promote our unique and exclusive jewellery to the right buyers. This year, we want to find new buyers from Southeast Asia. Up till now, we have met with quality buyers from the Chinese mainland, Indonesia and Vietnam and also given them the prices.”
Alan Chun, Director, Gaily Jewellery Company Limited, Hong Kong (Booth: GH-E20A)

“In business for 75 years, Nathella operates seven jewellery stores in the southern part of India. It is our second time visit to this show. It is a perfect venue for us to find new products and keep abreast of the design trends and production technologies. We have identified 3-4 suppliers that can provide diamond and yellow gold jewellery with good quality and nice designs. So far, we have placed US$1 million worth of diamond and yellow gold jewellery. The demand for diamond and yellow gold jewellery is increasing in India because our consumers like to buy diamonds and gold as an investment. We plan to open two more shops this year.”
Prasanna Kumar, Director, Nathella, India
“Based in Malaysia, my company has an Internet shop and a showroom selling all kinds of jewellery products which are designed and hand made by myself. Currently, I purchase raw materials like 14k gold, crystals, semi-precious stones and beads and fresh water pearls from Hong Kong, Thailand and the US. This is my first visit to this show. I come here to look for new suppliers and to see what other manufacturers are doing. Rather than following their design trends, I create something different for my customers. So far, I have placed some orders worth around USD10,000 while some orders are still under negotiation. It is a great show with many exhibitors covering the whole spectrum of the jewellery industry. Definitely, I’ll visit this show again next year.”
Jaslena Ahmad, Managing Director, Style Ventures Sdn Bhd, Malaysia
