“I opened my jewellery shop in Central in 2000, but this is my first time presenting my own designs at the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. The show serves as an important platform for me to promote my own brand and designs to buyers all over the world, to expand my business network, to develop new business and to exchange my design ideas with industry players. The world is colourful, so I like to use different fancy coloured gemstones and diamonds in my designs. In fact, every colour has an amazing character. Apart from jewellery, I am also showcasing my jewellery watches at the fair.”
Cally Kwong, Chairman, Cally K Jewellery Limited, Hong Kong |

“Established in Italy since 1948, La Fiorente Gioielli has been in the one of a kind jewellery business, using top-quality precious stones and diamonds from all around the world, mainly emeralds from Columbia, to make Italian jewellery. We have visited the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for two decades, but this is the first time that we have come here as an exhibitor. As buyers from all over the world come to this big show, it is a good opportunity for us to meet with new clients and to explore new business opportunities. On the first day of the show, we have already had good discussions with serious buyers from the Chinese mainland, Thailand and the US. We expect to meet with more buyers in the next few days.”

“In business for 20 years, our company has two jewellery shops in Cambodia, selling fine jewellery and silver jewellery respectively. This is our first visit to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and our second visit to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show. Consumers in Cambodia prefer high-end jewellery set with large diamonds to show their wealth, status and success. We are looking for big diamonds, coloured pearls, vintage diamond jewellery and uniquely designed jewellery at the two shows. Just in the first morning of the jewellery show, we have seen vintage jewellery with very nice designs. It’s a huge show where buyers can find what they need. There’s a lot to see and buy. We plan to buy US$100,000 worth of jewellery at this show to test our market.”
San Seyho, Director, Chheng Hak Stone Diamond, Cambodia |

“We are an importer, wholesaler and retailer of 925 silver jewellery in Poland. We have visited the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for several times because it is a great place for us to look for new suppliers and new products and to meet with existing suppliers. Compared to other jewellery shows that we’ve attended, the Hong Kong fair is bigger and more well-organised. At this year’s show, we are looking for silver earrings, pendants, necklace and bracelets that feature simple designs. The Polish jewellery market is getting better this year, so we hope to buy more silver jewellery at this show. This is the first time that we have used the HKTDC’s business matching service. We find it very effective because we have already found two potential suppliers from Hong Kong. We hope to place orders soon and meet with more suppliers at the show.”

“Founded in 1984, my company specialises in marketing a comprehensive range of high quality pearls. Our pearls are selling to customers all over the world from USA and Europe to Russia and Asia. At present, the prospect of business growth looks especially positive in Asian markets such as the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan and Taiwan. The Hong Kong fair is a major trade event to reach out to international buyers. We’ve achieved good business again this year. Many customers approached us to buy all sorts of pearls in different sizes. We’ve got some new buyers from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Indonesia, and gold pearls are in strong demand particularly. We will continue to exhibit here as this is the place to grow business.”
Alain Boite, President, Alain Boite S.A.S., France |

“Wilds Company Limited specialises in high-end loose colour stones and gemstone jewellery. Our colours stones are selling all over the world and we’ve established a strong presence in Asia particularly. Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show is one of the most important fairs for us to meet existing and new customers every year. We’ve put up a special showcase of high quality colour stones from Myanmar this year. Rubies and sapphires from Myanmar are especially in strong demand and offer good investment value. We are positive that high end colour stones will continue to draw buyers’ interest. The show is an excellent place to reach out to customers. HKTDC has done a great job promoting the fair and making it a successful event.”
Angela Yuen, Managing Director, Wilds Company Limited, Hong Kong |
|
“Japanese pearl exporters are making a strong presence at Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show again this year. Organised by JETRO, the Japanese pavilion has gathered a total of 100 companies from Japan to promote our pearls and 96 of them are members of Japan Pearl Exporters’ Association. We have very strict export standards and Japanese pearls are all certified to fulfil customers’ requirements. The Hong Kong fair is now the most important trade show for Japanese pearl exporters to grow business internationally. This year’s responses from buyers have been better than expected. The traffic has been good and we’ve witnessed active trades during the fair. We’re pleased with the results.”

"H. Hogarth is a jewellery retailer with a long history. We operate two shops in Kendal, the Lake District in the north of London selling high quality jewellery items. This is our first-time visit to Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show. It's a good fair with a huge amount of suppliers. There are so many things to see and find here. We've already spent about £4,000 to £5,000 to buy some appealing pearls, sapphires and loose stones from several Hong Kong and Japanese suppliers. We are also visiting Hong Kong International Jewellery Show to source some finished products. Hong Kong is a good sourcing place. We will come here more often to enrich our offerings."
Graeme Hogarth, Managing Director, H. Hogarth Jewellers, UK |

"This is the largest fair of its kind for loose diamonds, stones and materials I've ever attended. It's exciting to see so many items being showcased here. In business for six years, Wild Diamonds is a wholesaler of jewellery items in Israel. We import and sell diamonds and color stones to jewellery makers. We also come up with some jewellery collections for selected customers. So far, I've found two new suppliers from India and Italy and spent US$15,000 to purchase some rose-cut diamonds. The fair has two more days to go and I expect to find more suppliers. I will also visit Hong Kong International Jewellery Show to source some finished products. This fair is well organised. Everything has been well in place with a friendly environment. I like it very much."
Iris Ben Gad, Owner, Wild Diamonds, Israel

" Zukorina & Kins is a manufacturer of diamond jewellery in India. We always travel around the world to source materials and jewellery products at trade fairs. This is my first visit to Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show to find loose diamonds and semi-precious stones. I've already found two semi-precious stone suppliers from the Chinese mainland and Thailand as well as three diamond suppliers from India, Israel and Belgium. I am placing about US$10,000-US$15,000 worth of orders for semi-precious stones and US$100,000 for diamonds. I will also visit Hong Kong International Jewellery Show to buy US$5,000-US$10,000 worth of jewellery accessories. This is a good fair to find materials. The scale of exhibition is big with a lot of exhibitors to choose from. I will come again next year."
