The second edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show (2 - 6 March, 2015) at AsiaWorld-Expo will once again deliver a superb collection of diamonds, gemstones and a variety of pearls to buyers. More than 28,000 buyers enjoyed a great sourcing opportunity at the inaugural show in 2014. |
As well as being an important exporter of finished jewellery, Hong Kong is a major trading hub for diamonds as well as gems and pearls, exporting such items to the value of US$16 billion and US$245 million respectively in 2014, an increase of 9% and 13.6% year-on-year respectively. In recent years, Hong Kong has developed into a leading distribution point for pearls as the Chinese and South Sea pearl has strengthened
The market for diamond jewellery, particularly in India and the Chinese mainland, is rapidly growing. The demand for coloured gemstones is increasing fashion-oriented jewellery with innovative design.

In 2015, the Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show inaugurates a new special zone, Treasures of Ocean, which showcases a great variety of quality pearls. |

| On the evening of the fairs' first day, the Networking Reception is a gala night with the exciting theme - Asian Glitz. Buyers Forum is a chance to hear key buyers analyse their home markets and exhibitors can learn much about emerging markets and opportunities in the Chinese mainland. An array of seminars illuminates jewellery fashion trends and technology developments as well as highlighting different gemstones. |

| Together with the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show forms the world largest jewellery marketplace, hosting over 4,000 international exhibitors in 2015.
