Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2024 - Booth Allocation Policy

Booth Allocation Policy for Individual Exhibitors

The booth allocation policy below is applicable to all exhibitors. Hong Kong Exhibitors will be invited to attend a Booth Selection Meeting of its respective theme zone according to the below priority; Non-Hong Kong Individual Exhibitors will be allocated a booth location of its respective zone according to the below priority by the Organiser.

1) Booth Allocation Policy for applications submitted on or before application deadline
Past exhibitors enjoy priority over new exhibitors. (Note: Past exhibitors refer to companies which participated in the Hong Kong International Jewellery Shows (HKIJS) 2023. New exhibitors refer to applicants which did not participate in HKIJS 2023.) Booth allocation priority for an applicant will be based on the criteria listed below (i.e. 1>2>3>4>5>6).

Determinants of Booth Selection Priority

1) Exhibition Size

Booth selection priority is based on the size of exhibition space requested. “Larger size, higher priority” is the general principle for selecting booth locations.

2) Booth Format

Given the same exhibition size, companies requesting custom-built will have priority over company requesting premium booths then standard booths.

3) Participation History

A point system will be employed given the same exhibition size and booth format. Companies with a higher total point will have priority to choose their booth locations. Points will be accounted for the last five Hong Kong International Jewellery Shows (HKIJS). Exhibitors of other jewellery fairs will not be granted any point (Maximum points is 20).

Points
Exhibitors of HKIJS (March 2023) 6
Exhibitors of HKIJS (March 2019) 5
Exhibitors of HKIJS (March 2018) 4
Exhibitors of HKIJS (March 2017) 3
Exhibitors of HKIJS (March 2016) 2

4) Country / Region of Exhibitor

For companies scoring equal points, those Hong Kong exhibitors enjoy a priority in booth selection over non-Hong Kong exhibitors

5) Association Membership

For companies scoring equal points, those holding membership of any one of the four co-organising associations will have priority over non-member companies.

  • The Jewellers’ and Goldsmiths’ Association of Hong Kong Limited
  • Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association
  • Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers' Association
  • Diamond Federation of Hong Kong, China

6) Open Ballot

Companies of equal status are required to undergo an open ballot to determine the sequence of booth location selection. This is the final deciding factor.

2) Booth Allocation Policy for applications submitted after application deadline
All applications submitted after the application deadline will be placed on a waiting list. Booth allocation sequence will be prioritised according to the date and time of application form received by the Organiser.
