Our major markets include the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Taiwan and Thailand. We have joined the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for the third consecutive year because it is a well-organised show with a good turnout of quality buyers, helping us to establish good business connections and develop long-term business relationships. We have met with buyers from all over the world. We are happy to have met more mainland buyers this year because we are keen to further develop the mainland market. Up till now, we have received orders for emerald and diamond jewellery pieces worth millions of US dollars.”

“In business for 30 years, Euro Antique has been one of the leading traders of magnificent and important jewellery, with the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia being our major markets. We specialise in platinum jewellery decorated with natural stones such as diamonds, coloured stones, rubies and sapphires. This is our tenth year at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. We have maintained our presence at the show because it provides an ideal meeting place for us to strengthen our business relationships with existing buyers and secure new buyers. We have met with buyers from different markets such as Hong Kong, India and Indonesia. We hope to conclude some deals at the show.”
Michael Khakshoor, President, Euro Antique Inc., the US |
“Established in 2001, Artis designs and manufactures handmade jewellery that features high-quality craftsmanship and unique designs. For each design, we do not produce more than 10 pieces. We have exhibited at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for about seven years. As the show is getting bigger and bigger, it offers us a good chance to meet with buyers from around the world and look for potential partners to discuss business cooperation. At this year’s show, new buyers from the Chinese mainland, Southeast Asia and the US have shown great interest in our jewellery watches because consumers like multi-function jewellery. We have received good responses from buyers and also a lot of enquiries.”
Michael Wong, Director, Artis Jewellery Co., Limited, Hong Kong |
“IAD provides not only a large variety of diamond jewellery products to retailers and wholesalers but also holistic supply chain solutions coupled with efficient online ordering and replenishment services and a wide choice of displays. The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show provides an effective channel for us to meet with both existing and new customers and receive orders. That’s why we have participated in the show for more than 15 years to showcase our supply chain solutions. We do not set any minimum order requirement, allowing customers the flexibility to place small orders for a variety of jewellery styles. We have received positive feedback from customers and new orders from Southeast Asian and American retailers.”
Ivy Li , Senior Manager – Wholesale & Supply Chain, IAD Jewellery Limited, Hong Kong |
“Established in 1983, Rio Pearl is a wholesaler and manufacturer of top-quality pearls and pearl jewellery. We specialise in South Sea pearls, Tahitan pearls, Akoya, freshwater and mabe pearls. As a long-term supporter of the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, we always take this good opportunity to look for new customers to expand our business. To demonstrate our fine craftsmanship, we have displayed a delicately designed toucan brooch at the show this year, drawing a lot of interest from buyers. We have seen more new buyers from Russia and the Chinese mainland this year, and some buyers confirmed their orders with us at the show.”
Jonathan Cheng, Associate, Rio Pearl, Hong Kong |
“Sunlight designs and produces all kinds of high-end jewellery products which are all handmade and unique. Our main markets include the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the US. We have participated in the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show since 2011. The show provides a good place for us to promote our new jewellery designs and connect with both existing and new buyers. Buyers are very interested in our jewellery designs because each jewellery piece has its unique style. Buyers from different markets such as the Chinese mainland, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the US have placed orders for our jewellery. We’ll continue to support the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show.”

“Founded in 1945, OROAFRICA is one of the largest jewellery manufacturers and exporters in South Africa. Two years ago, we launched our absolute™ wedding band, which is crafted from virgin gold freshly extracted from deep within the African earth, making every single ring a pristine symbol of a brand new beginning. Since our major markets are South Africa and the US, we are keen to promote our brand and grow our business in Asia through our participation in the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. Our wedding bands have attracted a lot of interest from Asian buyers. It’s so amazing to see so many Asian buyers especially those from the Chinese mainland, Japan, Korea and Vietnam. We hope to find a reputable retailer who can partner with us to develop the Asian market.”
Madrie Scott, Marketing Manager, OROAFRICA, South Africa |
“With rich experience in diamond polishing, we diversified our businesses into diamond jewellery design and production in 2004. We create design concepts, a special name and a story for each of our jewellery collection, which can help buyers to impress consumers when they sell our collections in their markets. At this year’s Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, we are showcasing our new collections such as a wedding jewellery set called ‘Perfect Ten in One’ and the ‘Horse’s Hoof” collection specially designed for 2014, the Year of the Horse. Our new collections have been well-received by many buyers especially those from Southeast Asia, and successfully generated orders.”
Yvonne Yip, Director, Brilliant Trading Company (1974) Limited, Hong Kong |
“Based in the US, REEDS is a leading fine jewellery retailer that operates 63 outlets in 14 different states. As the jewellery market in the US is very good especially for bridal jewellery, we’ll open four additional outlets later this year. It’s our second time visiting the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. We have also visited the debut Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show. We are particularly interested in loose diamonds and diamond jewellery especially bridal related pieces. Up till now, the total amount of our orders at the two shows is around US$700,000. We expect that our total orders will amount to US$3 million at the end of the Jewellery Show.”
Scott Sedlacek, VP of Merchandising, REEDS Jewelers, the US |
“With 36 jewellery shops in Indonesia, our company offers mainly yellow gold and white gold jewellery with diamonds. We have visited the Hong Kong show for many times. This year we are looking for medium-end jewellery products decorated with small diamonds which are suitable for daily use as well as jewellery boxes and displays. We have found about seven prospective suppliers and already bought US$200,000 worth of diamond jewellery from one supplier. For jewellery boxes and displays, it’ll take some time for us to check the specifications before we can finalise our orders. The Hong Kong show is getting bigger and bigger. We like it because we can meet a lot of suppliers and see a wide range of jewellery products.”
Sjarkowi Hanafi, General Manager, PT Gold Martindo, Indonesia

“Established in 2002, we have two jewellery shops in the Philippines selling diamond and gem set jewellery. At this jewellery show, we are looking for both classic and trendy jewellery items which are in the price range of US$1,000 to US$2,000 per piece. Through the HKTDC’s business matching service, we have found two potential suppliers and already placed an order worth US$40,000 for diamond and gem set jewellery with one of these suppliers. In addition, we have found three other potential suppliers on our own at the fairground. We like to visit the Hong Kong show every year because it can meet all our souring needs and the suppliers here can offer good quality and attractive prices.”
Arlene Ching, President, AMI Jewels, Inc., the Philippines |
“Our company represents a group of 200 independent jewellery retailers in France and assists our members in sourcing all kinds of jewellery products and packaging materials. This is our second time attending the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. We want to buy packaging boxes and the Hong Kong show provides the best sourcing platform for delicate designs and good prices. So far, we have found three potential suppliers for packaging boxes and we have started negotiations with them. French consumers prefer diamond jewellery and silver jewellery with fine craftsmanship. We have seen some nice products here and may place orders later. The Hong Kong show is fantastic and professionally organised. It offers numerous choices from which buyers can choose.”
