With the inaugural HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show covering raw materials and loose stones, the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is now a highly specialised and effective platform for finished jewellery products. Together these two shows feature a record of over 3,850 exhibitors from 53 countries and regions, and comprehensively cover the industry and create countless business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers. |

Dedicated Platform Makes Glittering Debut |
HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show 2014 opens today with over 1,500 exhibitors from 36 countries showing a magnificent range of precious and semi-precious gems, pearls and related raw materials.
International profile
We are delighted to welcome the pavilion of South Africa and Indonesia joining us for the first time. Other pavilions have been organised from Brazil, the Chinese mainland, Colombia, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States. The fair is proud to have the support and presence of prestigious organisations, including the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, the Israel Diamond Institute, the International Colored Gemstone Association, the Japan Jewellery Association and the Japan Pearl Exporters' Association. |

The briefing included an overview of developments in the jewellery industry and forecasts for the season ahead. |

The result of the 15th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition, which showcases the best in local talent, were announced. This year's competition took as its theme “Timeless Glow”, and awards were presented in the two categories: Open Group and Student Group. Models showcased the winning pieces during the press briefing, and these designs will be on display throughout the fair period in Hall 1E Concourse. |
